Moving money in and out of FxPro

Funding is free in both directions, but currency conversion and overnight gold swaps are the costs nobody counts.

Money comes back the way it went in. That is a rule, not a preference.

How money reaches the account

FxPro does not offer Australian-specific payment methods, so you fund via international bank transfer or card. If your account base currency is AUD, you can send Australian dollars directly from your bank; the receiving bank may convert if FxPro's account is in another currency, but FxPro itself does not charge a deposit fee. PayID is not listed as a FxPro method, so use a standard bank transfer and include your account reference.

Choose AUD as base currency to keep the deposit in the same currency and avoid an additional conversion on the trading account. Deposits are free, but your sending bank or intermediary bank may deduct a fee or give a poor exchange rate. Check the final amount in the client area before you trade; if it is less than expected, the difference is a bank charge, not a FxPro fee.

How money comes back

Withdrawals are free from FxPro, but the method must match your deposit method where possible — if you deposited by bank transfer, you withdraw to the same bank account. This is a standard anti-money-laundering rule and not a delay tactic. Withdrawal requests are processed from the client area; there is no processing time given here, but expect a short review before funds leave.

If your trading account is in AUD but you withdraw to an Australian bank account, no conversion is needed. If you trade gold in USD but your account is AUD, the platform converts profit and loss back to AUD at its rate, which may include a small margin. That conversion is not a separate fee, but it shows in your realised P&L. Withdraw only what you need; each withdrawal is free but takes time away from the market.

Conversion and swap: the costs nobody counts

Gold is priced in USD, so any AUD-based account converts every trade's result into Australian dollars at the prevailing rate. That conversion is built into your balance and not shown as a fee, but it moves with the AUD/USD exchange rate. A winning gold trade can shrink in AUD terms if the Australian dollar strengthens against the US dollar at the same time.

Overnight gold positions incur a swap — a daily credit or debit based on the interest rate differential and the broker's rate. FxPro's swap rates are not listed here, but they apply every night you hold XAU/USD past the rollover, including weekends in a single charge. If you plan to hold gold for more than a day, run our profit calculator with a swap estimate to see the true cost. Swaps can turn a small profit into a loss on a long hold.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I fund my FxPro account with PayID from an Australian bank?

Yes, FxPro supports PayID for Australian clients, which allows fast bank transfers using your PayID. Deposits in AUD are converted to your account’s base currency, and conversion fees may apply. Check the funding page inside FxPro Direct for the current PayID deposit minimum and any processing time.

Are there deposit or withdrawal fees when using bank transfer with FxPro?

FxPro does not charge deposit fees for most methods, but your bank may charge an international transfer fee. Withdrawals by bank transfer can incur a fee depending on the amount and destination. Always check the funding section in your client area for the exact fees before you move money.

How long does a bank transfer withdrawal from FxPro take to reach an Australian bank account?

Withdrawals are processed within one business day, but the funds can take another two to five business days to appear in your Australian bank account. International transfers may be delayed by intermediary banks. Use the withdrawal history in FxPro Direct to track the status.

Can I deposit in Australian dollars and trade gold in US dollars?

Yes, your AUD deposit is converted to USD if your trading account is denominated in USD. FxPro applies a currency conversion rate, which includes a margin. If you trade XAU/USD, your profit or loss is in USD and will be converted back to AUD when you withdraw to your Australian bank.

What is the cheapest way to fund an FxPro account from Australia?

Bank transfer and PayID usually have the lowest fees from your side, but conversion costs still apply if you deposit AUD into a USD account. Card deposits are instant but often carry a card processing fee. Compare the deposit methods in your client area and consider the conversion rate before choosing.
